High Point Baseball Inc.

High Point Baseball Inc. is the non-profit organization operating the High Point Rockers baseball team that will be a member of the 2019 Atlantic League, beginning their inaugural season in 2019 in a brand new approximately $36M downtown BB&T Point ballpark named in honor of BB&T Community Bank.  Expected to enhance the rich baseball history in North Carolina, High Point Baseball is part of the fastest growing family sport in America. High Point Baseball is committed to providing superior customer service and quality, affordable family entertainment experiences for the Triad of North Carolina.  Look for exciting upcoming announcements regarding the name of the ballpark, team and mascot. Information on tickets and corporate partnerships will also be forthcoming.

Ken Lehner, Team President

Veteran sports executive Ken Lehner has been hired as the first president of High Point Baseball, Inc., the nonprofit that will operate the baseball team that will play at the city's upcoming stadium. Lehner has held front-office positions with the Florida Marlins in Major League Baseball, as well as the Tampa Bay Lightning and Carolina Hurricanes of the National Hockey League.

Christian Heimall, Assistant General Manager

With a career in professional and collegiate sports, Christian Heimall is the Assistant General Manager of the High Point Rockers. His role will include everything from baseball operations and staff hiring to in-game entertainment and public relations. He has a heavy background in media relations and promotions, spending four years with Ken Lehner at the Rockland Boulders of the independent Can-Am League. 

Ashley Kearns - Office & Retail Manager

Beginning her career in sports, Ashley Kearns is the Office and Retail Manager for the High Point Rockers. A born-and-raised High Pointer, Kearns will handle all aspects of the Rockers merchandising from retail to memorabilia. Her input will be sought when incorporating new designs for merchandise and with player uniforms. She also handles the day-to-day activities of the team offices, making a first impression on the team's behalf for all current and future fans.

Leighton Foster - Box Office Manager

Following three successful seasons in affiliated baseball, North Carolina native Leighton Foster returns home as the Box Office Manager for the Rockers. Originally from Tobaccoville, the North Carolina State grad spent his last two years at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium in Jupiter, Florida, the Spring Training home of the Miami Marlins and Saint Louis Cardinals. He also worked for the El Paso Chihuahuas, Triple-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres. Foster will handle the daily operations of the ticket office, including Season Ticket selection and ticket pricing.

Shane Poling - Facility Operations Manager

New to North Carolina, but not baseball, Shane Poling is the Facility Operations Manager for the Rockers. Shane brings with him a long line of experience in baseball working with the Prospect League's Chillicothe Paints for five years and, more recently, one season with the Indianapolis Indians. Shane will spearhead facility rentals, hiring of game day staff, turf management, oversee security and the clean-up crew, and assist in set up and tear down of each event.

Susan Ormond - Director of Ticket Sales

Although new to the world of professional sports, Susan Ormond is no stranger to providing quality entertainment to all in the Triad. As the Rockers Director of Ticket Sales, Susan will be in charge of developing various ticket plans, including group outings and season ticket perks, as well as the hiring of the Rockers sales staff. She has spent the last five years at Wet'n Wild Emerald Pointe Water Park helping thousands enjoy their summers. Susan is originally from Ohio, attended college in Kentucky and has lived in the Triad since 2000.

Brittney Lewallen - Account Executive

As a rookie to the sports industry, Brittney Lewallen joins the High Point Rockers as an Account Executive. Hailing from Kannapolis, North Carolina, Lewallen brings several years of sales experience to the team. Her role will consist of working with individual and group ticket sales.

Matt Scott - Account Executive

Entering his third season in professional baseball, Triad native Matt Scott joins High Point as an Account Executive. A graduate from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro,Matt spent two seasons as a full-time intern with the Greensboro Grasshoppers, a Single-A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates, where he served as a Group Sales and Promotions intern.  Matt will help to book and fulfill anything from group outings to season ticket opportunities available. He is excited to deliver the best fan experience possible!

Caroline Cooling - Account Executive

With previous experience in Collegiate Baseball and Minor League Hockey, Caroline Cooling joins the High Point Rockers as an Account Executive. A graduate of the University of North Carolina, Caroline volunteered and interned with the Diamond Heels for three seasons within the marketing and in-game promotions department. With previous internship experience with the Charlotte Checkers, Caroline is excited to be back in the world of baseball and professional sports. She is happy to provide fans the opportunity to purchase season tickets or arrange group events!
