HIGH POINT, N.C. – With less than three months until their historic first Opening Day, the High Point Rockers announced multiple new ticket options for the 2019 season. Group packages are now available for booking, as well as, 35-Game Ticket plans with 18-Game plans and single-game tickets going on sale on Wednesday, March 27th.
“We are pleased with our full season tickets sales to date. However, we understand our fans what options and we are going to provide options with essentially a half season plan and an 18-game plan,” said Ken Lehner, Rockers President. “Meanwhile, we are happy to finally answer the most asked question being ‘When will individual game tickets go on sale?’, so mark your calendars for Wednesday, March 27th.”
Along with new tickets plans, additional perks for season ticket holders were also announced. Those who place a $50, fully-refundable deposit on 2019 season tickets prior to Thursday, March 21st, will receive a code that will grant early access to purchase single-game tickets to Opening Weekend games, May 2-5th online before they go on sale to the general public. In addition, Catalyst Club season ticket holders, including suite and loge box owners, will enjoy a rotating menu of appetizers and finger foods; a snack station with peanuts, popcorn, and pretzels; desserts around the sixth inning; and two drink vouchers valid for beer, soda, water, or wine at each game. Finally, the exclusive Catalyst Club will be the only place at BB&T Point where hard liquor will be available for purchase.
Starting now, fans can book a group outing for as few as 15 people in four different areas of BB&T Point with terrific catering available. Each section includes a 90-minute, all-you-can-eat buffet. Menus will depend on the section, with additional a la carte options also available.
The Home Plate Perch, a two-tiered area a mere nine rows behind home plate, features two sections with comfortable mesh seats and tables for up to 24 in each section flanking a middle area where up to 30 more can stand. With premier views of the action and near the craft beer room, retail stores, restrooms, this location for 24 to 80 guests can be booked for $29 per person; including game ticket and food such as pulled pork sliders, wings, soda, water, and more. On game days when no groups are booked, fans can enjoy this area by simply purchasing a ticket in the ballpark and congregating in this area.
For those who prefer a different angle when watching a game, the Rockers have three additional group seating areas. The Right Field Picnic Area can accommodate up to 300 guests at $24 per person, and includes a menu of marinated grilled chicken, hot dogs, pasta salad, soda, water, and more.
One of the more unique features and group areas within BB&T Point sits just behind the right center field wall under the scoreboard. This area will accommodate 24 to 50 guests at $25 per person including game ticket plus food and beverages. The food and beverages served under the scoreboard will be announced in the coming weeks but will feature ballpark favorites from cities across America.
“We have two absolutely dynamite group seating areas that we will be announcing further details in the coming weeks. One is under the scoreboard and the other with be in our left field park,” said Lehner. “These two group area concepts have never ever been constructed previously in any ballpark at the Major or minor league level. One will focus on the historical aspect of baseball, while the other is a game changer in the concessions industry. Yes, this quote is a tease and you can quote me that it is a tease so stay tuned.”
The final group seating area sits in left field with views of the field unable to be seen anywhere else. The Left Field Picnic Area can accommodate from 15 to more 200, guests at $26 per person, including a menu of hamburgers, hot dogs, grilled chicken, soda and water. Depending on the size of the group, fans can sit field level near the visiting bullpen on the third base side, along tiered sections with fixed picnic tables, or on top of the area in left overlooking the field.
This area is also next to the Kid’s Zone at BB&T Point, featuring batting cages and more.
Parents can also book a birthday party for their child with a minimum of 10 guests, starting at $15 per person. The Rockers Style Birthday experience includes a team gift for the birthday child, birthday cake, seats in the left field bleachers, an appearance on the field during the game with the Rockers mascot, and more. Parties are available for children up to the age of 13 and include several other amenities.
Those who wish to plan a group outing without catering can purchase discounted tickets in bulk for all games, except Opening Day. Prices will range from $5 to $13 (saving up to $5 per ticket) depending on the location and size of the group. Additional ticket options include the new 35-Game Plan which features the same seat for each pre-determined game, including Opening Day. Fans can choose from two different plans, both of which include the same seat for 30 games, and five vouchers to be used at any other game. One plan includes tickets to 4th of July, while the other includes Father’s Day, Sunday, June 16. Depending on the seat location, 35-Game Plans, currently on sale, range from $315 per seat, to $420 per seat and require a $25, fully-refundable deposit to secure your seat.
These options, along with full-season ticket plans, are currently the only way to guarantee seats for the 2019 season prior to single-game tickets going on sale. Those tickets, along with 18-Game Plans, will be available on Tuesday, March 26th beginning at 10am. The 18-Game Plans include the same seat for all games in one of four pre-selected plans featuring 15 set games and three vouchers to be used at any other game, with exclusions. Depending on the location, 18-Game Plans range from $162 per seat to $234 per seat and require a 50% deposit to secure your seat. Single game tickets will be on sale for $5 in the left field bleachers, $6 in the right field Home Run Reserve section, $10 in the outfield box, $12 in the infield box seats, $14 behind home plate, and $34 in the Catalyst Club with a $1 surcharge added on Fireworks nights.
Both the 35- and 18-Game Plans offer savings on a per-game basis ranging from 10% to 14%, depending on the location. However, the largest discounts are still found by purchasing 2019 season tickets with savings of over 22% in some areas.
