UNC Standout and former Charlotte Hornet to do meet & greet

High Point, NC - Fourth of July weekend is already a big one for the High Point Rockers, now it’s even bigger. Former University of North Carolina standout and Charlotte Hornet, P.J. Hairston will be doing a meet & greet on July 6th at the Rockers game.

This special meet & greet includes an autographed photo of Hairston and an opportunity to meet the former McDonald's All-American. Admission into this special event is $10 PLUS a regularly priced Rockers ticket for any section. All proceeds from the meet & greet will go to benefit Say Yes Guilford. Say Yes Guilford is a local non-profit organization that helps prepare high school students for college and pays their college tuition if they graduate high school.

Hairston became a McDonald’s All-American in high school, showing early on he was a player to watch. Hairston would later attend the University of North Carolina where he would be a key player in the Tarheel offense throughout his short time in Chapel Hill. During his time with the Tarheels, Hairston played 71 games, recording 74 assists, 57 steals, 20 blocks and 707 points.

Hairston would be picked 24th overall in the 2014 NBA Draft by the Miami Heat, but would later be traded to the Charlotte Hornets. Hairston has played for the Hornets and Memphis Grizzlies throughout his NBA career. To purchase your tickets to this event CLICK HERE.
