New Britain, CT - The High Point Rockers were looking to come away with a win against the New Britain Bees on Saturday, however the Bees continued to be a thorn in the side of the Rockers. After a six run fourth inning by the Bees, the Rockers were left playing catch-up the remainder of the night. The Rockers weren’t able to mount a comeback and dropped their second straight loss to the Bees 10-3.
The bottom of the second inning started with a homer from Jonathan Galvez, putting the Bees up early. Bijan Rademacher tripled on a fly ball to center field, bringing in Jared James and Deibinson Romero for two more runs for the Bees. In the top of the fourth inning, Tyler Ladendorf would try and help mount a comeback by hitting a solo home run for the Rockers. The Bees would go on to score six runs in the bottom of the fourth, making it very hard to mount a comeback.
The Rockers would try and do anything they can to make something happen as Quincy Latimore and the newest Rocker Viosergey Rosa would hit back-to-back homers for the Rockers. All three of the Rockers runs were brought in by home runs.
Rainy Lara would be granted the win while Tyler Herron would be handed the loss. The Rockers will be back in action Sunday at 1:35PM at New Britain Stadium for the final game of the three game series against the Bees.
