High Point wins series against Revolution

York, PA - As game three of the four game series against the York Revolution concluded, the High Point Rockers remained red hot. The Rockers put on a dominating performance against the 2017 Atlantic League champions, scoring eight runs and handing the Revolution their sixth straight home loss.

In the top of the second inning, Brett Austin hit a line drive to left field allowing Dante Bichette Jr. and Myles Schroder to score. In the top of the third inning, Quincy Latimore continued his home run streak when he knocked one out of the park for his third home run in three days. Richie Shaffer continued his hot streak as well, hitting a line drive to left field which would bring in Bichette Jr. for the fourth Rockers run of the night.

Henry Castillo doubled on a line drive to left field as James Skelton would bring in the only run of the night for the Revolution. Myles Schroder would score in the top of the fifth on a sacrifice fly by Brett Austin. Quincy Latimore hit a double in the top of the eighth inning, bringing in Giovanny Alfonzo and Tyler Ladendorf. Who else but Latimore who bring in the final run of the night for the Rockers on a double from Stephen Cardullo.

Joe Van Meter picks up the win against his former team while Jalen Miller would be handed the loss. The Rockers will wrap up the four game series against the Revolution Sunday at 1pm before taking on the Somerset Patriots on Tuesday.
