High Point, NC - Although it’s early in the season, the High Point Rockers wasted no time making a statement. Winning two of their first three games, the Rockers have caught the eye of many. Myles Schroder and Hector Gomez have been some of the key players for the Rockers in the early stages of the season.
Myles Schroder leads the league in hits this season with eight, while Hector Gomez joins him on that list tied for fifth. Tyler Ladendorf finds himself tied for first in the league for walks this season with 4. Pitcher Seth Maness is tied for sixth in terms of strikeouts.
Schroder (4th) and Gomez (8th) are in the top-10 in batting average and RBI’s (Gomez is tied for 3rd, Schroder tied for 5th). Tyler Ladendorf (10th) joins Gomez (4th), Schroder (3rd) in the top-10 in slug percentages this season. Schroder, Gomez and Ladendorf are all also in the top-10 for On-base slugging percentage.
Although it’s early in the season, the amazing talent on the Rockers roster have given the High Point fanbase a lot to cheer about. The Rockers have their home opener Thursday May 2nd, against the defending Atlantic League champion Sugar Land Skeeters.
